CI Tool Maker

Job Summary:
The CI Tool Maker is responsible to maintain, repair, and construct new tooling, which may include dies, jigs and fixtures, assembly tools, gages, and machine components.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Must be able to read and write in English
Ability to communicate clearly
Ability to work independently and draw from experience with minimal supervision
Ability to problem solve and follow standardized practices and procedures
Strong Mechanical aptitude
High school diploma or equivalent. Job-related technical training or equivalent.
Two years experience related to defined job responsibilities or equivalent training.

Must be able to read, interpret and follow all blueprints and instructions.
Constructs new tooling as required from detailed designs, sketches, and/ or part drawings.
Operates a wide variety of machine tools (Including CD Welder fixtures) and works closely with end-users to fabricate the most efficient tool possible.
Uses ingenuity and creativity in fabricating specialized tooling.
Assist in the repair, rebuilding, and construction of production equipment..
Perform any other duties as directed by the department manager.
Sets up and operates metalworking machines to include CNC operated machines.
Machines, welds and/or heat treats parts
Visually inspects completed or in-process work
Installs fabricated or purchased fixtures and processing equipment
Owns or willing to purchase personal tools.
Be proactive in permanent corrective actions and monitor completed work for effectiveness
Working Conditions
Predominantly in a factory/machine shop setting
Involves handling or working near industrial chemicals or vapors such as solvents, cleaning agents and flammable liquids
Involves operating or working near moving mechanical equipment
May encounter moderate to loud noise levels created by power tools, production machinery and heavy traffic
Effort/Physical Demands
Adequate vision acuity
Frequent long hours/weekends possible
Health and Safety Responsibilities
Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company Rules, Plant Rules, policies and procedures
Must use or wear equipment, protective devices or certain clothing as required by the company
Back-up Duties:
Perform other duties as required

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
